You guys know by now that I don’t love fall so much, one of many reasons being that I consider it will be a season to decorate my house for with some fall decor DIY.
There are so many ways to go about it, and while Halloween is a big occasion that calls for a lot of those ways, I wonโt be decorating specifically for that holiday right now, I cannot have anything in my home that resembles a creepy crawler or anything spooky months before Halloween.
Decorating the home and entertaining with fall vibes is an occasion to reconsider this season, meaning bringing the outdoors in with organic textures and adding warmth with metallics.
Here are some of my favorite modern fall decor DIYs (of course!) from around blogland that you might enjoy trying out yourself. Time to get crafting!
5 Modern fall decor DIY ideas
1. Copper and Gold Leaf Branches
Learn how to keep all your branches in place in your fall centerpiece by using these copper and gold branches.
2. Clay Animal Heads
You can easily add some fall decor to your home by make some fall animals like fox, bear, and owl!
3. Copper Striped Candle Holders
Enhance regular glass candleholders by stamping them with a stripe pattern to give them an elegant embossed design.
4. Floral Pumpkin Centerpiece
From the start of September right until Thanksgiving, these DIY gold dipped pumpkins are the perfect way to decorate your home for fall. For longer lasting decor, consider using artificial pumpkins instead of real ones for this DIY project.
5. Scalloped Edge Napkins
Hosting a seasonal gathering, dinner party or Thanksgiving Dinner? These chic napkins can be easily made and reused for every event or party you put on this fall.
I’ve got that fall feeling: crisp breezes, pumpkin spiced lattes, cozy scarves, and autumn home decor galore!
How have you been decorating for fall (or Halloween?) so far?
xoxo,
