In my childhood, my favorite party food was Italian
Soft buns perfect for children’s parties, often filled with ham, salami or cheese.
Growing up I discovered them are easy to make, especially if you want something might in texture yet rich and moist in the middle.
Another thing I really love about the Italian panino is the versatility of shapes.
You can simple make round buns or you can play with shapes.
With my daughters, I love to make shaped panini and our favorite isโฆ guess what?
These delicious panini in addition to having excellent consistency and aroma are very decorative, so they are a decorate the table for the holidays or a buffet.
The aroma with butter is very sweet, but you can substitute with oil for a lighter taste.
Ingredients:
4 grams of dry yeast
40 grams of water
500 gr of flour
10 grams of sugar
220 gr of milk
50 g of butter or oil
10 gr of salt
Directions:
In a bowl, dissolve yeast in water, add 100 gr flour.
Beat on medium speed for 3 minutes. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled about 1 hour.
In a large bowl, dissolve the dough in milk. Add the sugar, salt, and the remaining flour. Beat on medium speed for 3 minutes, then add butter (or oil), knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes.
Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
Punch dough down. Divide into workable batches, roll out onto a floured surface and cut.
Place each bread on a greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 160Cยบ, bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from pans to wire racks to cool.
