May favorite

Iโ€™ve stumbled on so many great inspiration and discoveries this month that I want to share.

May has absolutely flown by, in a complete blur in fact! This month I published my first pot hanger knitting pattern on Ravelry, and let’s just say that things are starting to be very, very real!
I’m in full planning mode and Iโ€™m currently knee deep in planning other amazing patterns!
I love to planning and so I find the process really enjoyableโ€ฆ BUT itโ€™s a lot of work: search, swatches, samples,โ€ฆ etc ๐Ÿ™‚

Making

Once again another crafty month has gone by, although Iโ€™ve been working on a lot of crafts for the home that I havenโ€™t yet shared. Coming soon!
In the meantime, make this easy striped sweater, or dare with the octopus.

Nesting

Iโ€™m just finishing to repot plants for the house, I’ve added a lot of green and I couldnโ€™t be more excited! In case you were wondering, there are a lot of pot hangers!
But I’m falling in LOVE this moon planter!
Crochet isn’t my fav, but this banana pillow is so cute!

Reading

Show Your Work!
Such a fantastic book for creatively minded people!
The basic idea is to put yourself out there even if you (or your work) is a work in progress. “It’s Not Who You Are, It’s Who You Want To Be.”
Itโ€™s the kind of book that you can pick up and set down over and over again.

Cool Knitting for Kids
A good book for aspiring knitters, with lots of photos. In terms of stitches it only demonstrates casting on, knit stitch, and binding off; and 3 project ideas, all derived from a knitted rectangle. However, dying with kool-aid and felting are very fun projects for kids.

Going

In December 2017 my family was in La Jolla visiting San Diego and planned on eating tacos, so we came across the street to this fish placeโ€ฆand it was worth it! This place is cool in that it has a combo look and feel of a fresh seafood market and a restaurant.

I wanna go here (and make some things).
