Roar Wristlet Purse
The clutch is knit as one piece, two colors are used in each row, and it has minimal seaming.
When finished you have a long rectangle, tri-folded and seamed up the sides with a flap.
The optional handle is a knitted i-cord.
Needles: US 10/6 mm
Yarn: This pattern uses 2 yarns held together.

Yardage: 60 yards / 54 meters MC – 50 yards / 45 meters CC
Gauge: 16 sts x 20 rows = 4 inch (10 cm)

Sizing: 6.5 inch/16.6 cm (L) x 4 1/4 inch/10.5 cm (H)
Abbreviations:
ga st: garter stitch
K: knit
P: Purl
RS: right side
MC: Main color
CC: Contrast color
With two strands held together, using MC, CO 28 sts.
Work in ga st for 1″ / 2.5 cm.
Using both MC and CC, work in stockinette stitch following the chart until 9.3″ / 23.5 cm from cast on.
Using MC, work in ga st for 1″ / 2.5 cm.
Bind off loosely.
Wrist strap – Optional
For the strap, you will knit an I-cord.
This is a 5 stitch I-cord.
Using your circular knitting needles and with MC, cast on 5 stitches.
Row 1 Knit each st across the row.
Next, slide your work to the opposite end of your needles. Do not turn. You will then knit, tightening the first stitch of the row and knitting each of the next six stitches.
Repeat this pattern, by knitting each stitch across the row and then sliding the work to the opposite end to knit again.
Continue until the I-cord is approximately 12โ / 31 cm long, cast off and weave in ends.
Assembly
Note: If you plan to add the strap or a zipper, you might find them easier to add before assembly.
With the wrong side facing you, fold the bottom portion upward.
Cut two lengths of yarn and using your tapestry needle, seam up each side of the clutch using the mattress stitch.
Tie off weave in ends.
Strap
Fold strap in half. Attach both ends of the strap to the upper right corner with a whip stitch.
Enforce the durability of the strap by sewing more stitches.
