About
The Checked Dishtowel is worked in flat in one piece. This pattern must be worked back and forth on a circular needle or a dpn.
It’s knitted tightly in Checked Rose Fabric stitch; you need to know how to knit and purl.
The instructions are written in standard American terms. The pdf features photo support.
Knitting skill level: Easy, perfect project for new knitters

Needles: US 10 / 6 mm circular or DPN
Yarn: Worsted (9 wpi)
Yardage: Color A: 120 yards / 110 meters – Color B: 90 yards / 82 meters
Gauge: 18 sts x 32 rows = 4”/10cm
Other notions: Tapestry needle
Sizing: 14″ x 18″ / 36 cm x 46 cm
Note: k1b [knit one below]: Insert the tip of the right needle into the stitch below the next stitch from front to back, knit normally (wrapping the yarn around the needle and pulling it back through the stitch below) and let the stitch above fall from the left needle.
Turn work: means to do what you would normally do when knitting rows with a circular needle. That is to say, put the needle in your left hand into your right and the needle in your right hand into your left and flip the work around, so the opposite side is facing you.
Slide work: means to keep the same side of the work facing you and to push all the stitches to the right end of the circular needle. Without turning the work, start the new row as you normally would.
