Le Tour de France bag knitting pattern – Stage 1 – #OnTourWithHobbii

Something inspiring is happening right now! And as a Hobbii Partner, I would love to have you join me with Le Tour de France bag knitting pattern.

My project is a 13.7″x 15.7″ / 35cm x 40cm bag that represents the journey from Denmark to Paris ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐโžก๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท.
My Le Tour de France bag knitting pattern consists of 7 rectangles representing each Le Tour De France stage, weaved together to form the tote bag.
The bag is worked from the side, and each rectangle begins with a provisional cast-on and ends with live stitches. You will work the live sts together with the provisionally CO sts for weaving the rectangles together. Sts are picked up when knitting the last stage which will also form the handles.

We’ll be knitting at the same time as the fantastic bike riders make their way down Europe on a 21-day-challenge going from July 1st to July 24th. The pattern will be released in stages, on the first day of every stages, following the dates below:
โ€ข Stage 1: from July 1st to 3rd
โ€ข Stage 2: from July 4th to 7th
โ€ข Stage 3: from July 8th to 10th
โ€ข Stage 4: from July 11th to 13th
โ€ข Stage 5: from July 14th to 16th
โ€ข Stage 6: from July 17th to 20th
โ€ข Stage 7: from July 21st to 24th
