Each Moon Phases Temperature Blanket is a chance to play with new yarns and track the lunar year doing what makes me happy: knitting!
This post is specific to my Moon Phases Temperature Blanket in ripple stitch. Still, you can find more information about temperature blankets in this blog post: How to Make a Moon Phases Temperature Blanket.
My color choice
Colors establish the mood of the finished Moon Phases Temperature Blanket. I want to place my colors from coolest (associated with the new moon) to warmest (associated with the full moon) in my blanket.
I chose to use Hobbii Honey Bunny, a super bulky weight 100% polyester. It was easy to choose eight colors from the palette, which I based on the moon phases.
New Moon in Prussian Blue (82), waxing crescent in Dark Teal (97), the first quarter in Hunter Green (116), waxing gibbous in Nougat (09), Full Moon in Gold Dust (27), waning gibbous in Hint of Pink (50), the third quarter in Plum (62), and waning crescent in Open Sea (79).
My blanket is still in the making, but Iโm excited to share the pattern and color choice with you!
