Private Weekly Mom + Kid Lessons in Pleasanton
Located in my home in Pleasanton, these private classes are designed for both parent and child to learn and enjoy knitting or crochet together! Each lesson is an hour, providing plenty of time for you both to practice new skills and work on your projects side by side.
Classes follow the local school calendar for breaks and holidays.
What You’ll Learn
Together, we’ll start with the basics and work step-by-step through the essential knitting techniques:
– How to select yarn and needles for your projects
– Holding the needle/hook and working the yarn
– Core stitches
– Working in rows and rounds
– Reading simple patterns together
– Completing a project within the month
This class encourages bonding time while helping you and your child build confidence. Projects are designed to be simple yet fun, ensuring success for both the parent and child by the end of the month. As your skills develop, we can advance to more complex patterns, allowing you to make matching accessories or garments.
Materials
The cost of materials is not included. You will need the following for both you and your child:
– Worsted-weight yarn
– US 10 (6.0 mm) knitting needles or 4mm/G hook

Cancellation Policy: If you need to miss the class, please give us as much notice as possible. If you give us more than 24 hours notice, we will transfer your registration fee to another class or store credit.
