This easy knit pattern features a simple star shape and will create a gorgeous display if used for trailing plants or look fresh and minimalist for growing a succulent. This design is perfect for adding a contemporary feel to a corner in your home.

The Star Pot Hanger is worked in rounds and shaped with increases until the desired numbers of stitches are on the base’s needles. Then each section is knitted in flat with decreases to forms a star.

SIZING
The Pot Hanger knitting pattern accommodates a plant pot that is approximately 5″ (13 cm) wide

GAUGE, NEEDLES, NOTIONS
Gauge: 23 sts and 34 rows = 4 in/10cm in Stockinette Stitch in US size 5 (3.75mm) needle in the rnd.
Needles: US size 5 (3.75 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular needle, and US size 5 (3.75mm) DPNS. A long circular needle, such as a 30” (80 cm), can also be used to work the magic-loop method.
E/4 US size (3.5 mm) crochet hook
Notions: Stitch markers, 1 2″ (50 mm) circular wood ring, Cardboard or tassel maker, Tapestry needle.

YARN
The Star pot hanger knitting pattern is designed for a fingering weight bamboo/bamboo blend. I used Ice Yarns, Bamboo Natural.
Yarn: Yarn Weight 2 Fine (Sport, Baby)
Yardage: 136 yards (124 meters)
