I have always wanted to make a bulky cardigan knitting pattern for beginners, using a relaxing and easy stitch and simple colorwork.
My bulky cardigan knitting pattern, The House Cardi, features roomy pockets, bold, color-blocked stripes, and well-defined stitches.
This bulky cardigan is the ideal layer for chilly mornings, cool nights, and anything in between!
The bulky cardigan knitting pattern has one-piece construction: the right front, back, and left front are knitted in a single piece from the bottom up starting with the ribbing. Then, at the armholes, the fronts and back are worked separately to the shoulders to create the armhole openings. The sleeves are worked picking up stitches from the armholes, without any increases to the cuff. This is a practical choice for layering pieces, where more ease is desired at the cuff and lower arm.
Two optional pockets are knitted and attached to each front panel.
