The Importance of Giving Back

I believe in business with a purpose. I believe in the importance of giving back to the community, and I would love to use knitting to make a difference in other people’s lives.

I had a Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2010, and even when I’m celebrating, there can be this voice inside screaming, “What if?”
Cancer makes you still.
I was lucky because my disease did have a cure, but others will likely be on maintenance therapy for the rest of their life.

So, when you invest in your future through my patterns, you’re also making an impact in the world. From this Fall, I’m focused on giving back to an incredible nonprofit, City of Hope.
City of Hope is a world leader in the research, and it is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people with cancer, diabetes, and other serious illnesses. Their mission is to transform the future of health care by turning science into a practical benefit and hope into reality. I canโ€™t imagine supporting a more worthy cause.

For that reason, from today for every single pattern sold on ETSY and RAVELRY, 1$ will go to this Charity.
I believe in making good things and doing good things!
Thereโ€™s never a point in your life when you stop learning, growing, or finding new experiences that create a better, fuller life.
In a world where there is not enough love and understanding, knitting may be a way to help heal and serve others.
