Say hello to the Snowball Sweater knitting pattern

I loved designing my Snowball Sweater knitting pattern with its winter vibe and simple top-down construction!
I used a unique worsted yarn called “Wool Cord Light” from Ice Yarns, and it was very quick to work up.
I wanted to make another version, and to make it longer and cozier so that I could wear it over leggings! During the fall and winter months, long oversized sweaters over leggings are my uniform!

The Snowball Sweater knitting pattern is worked in the round from the top down. Short rows are used to shape the back neckline.
A circle with bobbles is worked on the yoke.
The body and sleeves are then separated, the body is worked in stockinette stitch.
The fit is relaxed and comfortable. It has flowy, oversized sleeves.
The hem and sleeve cuffs are finished with 2×2 ribbing.
The pattern includes written instructions and charts. There are suggestions to try it on as you work and notations to help you tweak the size according to your preference.
