Welcome January

Another month (and year) has come and gone by!
I feel like so much has happened in December, but I’m having a tough time recalling everything that I did.
Well, let’s take it slow, one stitch at a time, what projects I’ve finished (or not!)

Finished works

I finally finished my first size-inclusive pullover design – test in progress! I have been working on this for three weeks, which is a record for the longest time I’ve worked on a project, and I am so ready to move onto other designs.

Published designs

Itโ€™s surreal to have shared my advent calendar!
It was huge because I decided to put 24 simple to knit patterns for Christmas in late October while I was lanching my November patterns AND knitting for my size-inclusive new sweater.
I had a lot of fun knitting, all of them, and I was thrilled with how all are turned out.

WIP

I’m not a monogamous knitter, I find it impossible to work on one project at a time, so there are wip always in my bagโ€ฆ

  • Ichel sweater: Oh my! This is my Achilles heel. I love this pattern, but it takes forever to finish with all this colorwork! I started in May, can’t believe I’m still working the body!
  • The House cardi: I’ve everything for knit one for my daughter Ceciliaโ€ฆ But it’s still only 5 cm long.
  • My new April sweater: I started, frogged, restarted, finished body and sleeves, and frogged the body. I can’t decide if I want like a cropped sweater or longer with a lot of ribbing!

Dreamin on casting on

  • Ursa sweater: I have fantastic skeins, in Merino and Alpaca. But I discovered that I need more! And, of course, it isn’t available.
  • Red Moon Sweater: I am dreaming of this from the KAL. But after the experience with the Ixchel, I’m afraid to start it!

Upcoming projects and news

I’ve got some bundle projects coming up in January, and if I have time, there will be another free mini pattern.

My daughter Clelia will turn 3 at the end of the month. Last year she asked for a knitted unicorn plush, I’m waiting for this year’s choice!
Andโ€ฆ more resources for aspiring knitters and knitter designers! Now that my pullover is in test knitting, I can relax and de-stress and go full force on new things!

One stitch at a time, all the time when Iโ€™m in the mood or my girls aren’t around, I hopefully will get my projects finished.
