The Herringbone Classic Dishtowel is worked in flat in one piece.
Itโs knitted tightly in herringbone and linen stitch, you need to know how to knit, purl, and slip stitches. You can find a how-to video for the herringbone stitch here.

With the Main Color (MC), cast on 50 sts and start working garter stitch as follows:

Row 1 (right side): Slip 1 knitwise wyif, *k1, slip 1 wyif, repeat from * to last stitch, k1.
Row 2 (wrong side): Slip 1 knitwise with yarn in front (wyif), *p1, slip 1 with yarn in back (wyib), repeat from * to last stitch, k1.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2, a further 12 rows (total 14 rows).
Cut MC and join the Contrast Color (CC).
Row 3: * K2tbl โ removing 1st sts off the needle with 2nd sts remaining; rep to last st, sl1.
Row 4: *P2tog โ removing 1st sts off the needle with 2nd sts remaining; rep to last st, sl1.
Repeat Rows 3 and 4 (total 4 rows in CC).
Cut CC and join the MC.
