Cheshire Tee Pattern

The Cheshire tee is inspired by Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland, a fictional cat popularized known for its distinctive mischievous grin.
Remember when all parts faded away except for his grin or eyes?

This tee, featuring drop shoulder construction, is knitted from the bottom up in the round, starting with a split high-low hem worked in twisted rib, which is done by knitting the back and the front, separately.
Join together both hems to start knitting the body with a Colorwork section (Intarsia in the round technique) until reaching the armhole. From there, the front and the back are worked separately in flat, adding German short rows for the drop-in shoulders.
Once the short rows are finished, the entire upper edge is worked with twisted ribbing until the end.
When the body is already worked, sew the upper edges of the body, joining front and back and leaving a hole for the neck.
Stitches are picked up for the armholes and are finished in twisted rib.
Itโ€™s a good idea to read the whole pattern before you begin.
